Many productions from the Gundam franchise are being screened at the 14th Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival in South Korea from July 15th until July 25th. This retrospective is titled “Mobile Suit Gundam – Memories of the Universal Century”.

Andrew W.K., musician who has already performed a cover of the song “Ai senshi” last year, will release an english-language album as official part of the celebration of the Gundam 30th anniversary, on September 9th.
In “Gundam Rock”, he will cover theme songs such as “Tobe! Gundam”, “Suna no juujika”, “Ai senshi”, “Meguriai”, and also famous scenes such as Gihren Zabi’s speech for Garma’s death.

BEEZ opened its official news blog (French, soon available in English and German) on April 7, the day of the 30th annivesary of the broadcast of the very first episode of Mobile Suit Gundam on japanese television.

The North American distributor Bandai Entertainment has announced at its New York Comic Con panel on Saturday that it acquired “all” manga based on Sunrise’s Mobile Suit Gundam 00 anime series. It will begin releasing Ōto Taguchi’s main Gundam 00 manga in August. It will also release Koichi Tokita’s Mobile Suit Gundam 00F spinoff and the light novel series at dates to be announced later.

The North American distributor Bandai Entertainment has clarified with ANN after New York Comic Con on Monday that it acquired Kōzō Ōmori’s Mobile Suit Gundam 00 manga adaptation from Kadokawa’s recently launched Kerokero Ace magazine. It did not acquire Ōto Taguchi’s manga of the same name from Kodansha’s defunct Monthly Magazine Z magazine. Bandai Entertainment also confirmed that it does have the licenses for Koichi Tokita’s Mobile Suit Gundam 00F manga spinoff and Noboru Kimura’s light novel series — both are from Kadokawa.
